I like to say that I was "raised by a pack of strong women." And because of my daddy issues, I tend to be more comfortable around women, in general. So, I think I give more consideration to women. But, having gone through my teenage years in the 80s and having spent time in the military, I've certainly seen unfiltered sexism. Luckily, I've never witnessed aggressive sexism that would require action on my part.
I open doors for my wife, not because she isn't able to do so on her own, but to show consideration. My love language, I guess. I've thought I'd do the same with a partner if I were gay.
