KT, under no circumstances should you feel shame. The words are aspirational. Be inspired by them (like I am) and just do "better", however you define that. Feeling shame is judgement, and the last thing this world needs, including you and me, is more judgement.
This calls to mind how meditation is supposed to work; you focus on breathing (or whatever repetitive thing you have chosen to do) for as long as you can - half a second, 30 minutes, 12 hours, whatever, then your mind does what it does and wanders off the reservation, you notice that and bring it back to your breathing. There is no shaming because your mind wandered. Its a progressive practice in letting go of judgement.
I am afraid that all sounded very preachy, but I was just trying to honor my reaction to your comment. There is nothing about you that deserves that type of judgement. I recognize it for what it is because I "smell one of my own", and I know I have a lot of work to do to change my habit of judging, both myself and others.
Shooting light and love your way, KT! Pew pew pew!
